A shirt with a very short life span, it was worn against Japan (18/06/03) and Colombia (20/06/03) in the 2003 Confederations Cup. It’s first appearance was a warm up game against Scotland on 27/05/03. By 2004 they had made the switch to Nike.

This shirt was first seen on 25/07/93 in an AFCON Qualifier away to Zimbabwe. It was used a month later ina World CUp qualifier in Senegal, and again against Egypt at the 1995 All Africa Games.
Cape Verde

This Adidas design was used by the national team for a short while in 2012 before the wonderful Tepa effort was used in the run up to the 2013 African Cup of Nations, and was worn by Cape Verde player Fernando Neves.

Another shirt direct from the kit man, this time Yemen. The shirt has clearly been worn in numerous matches, and yes Yemen have been playing in fake Adidas. The quality of the shirt is okay for a fake, but only God knows what is going on with that bizarre pattern that makes it look like all the players have been run over. I always had slight doubts over my previous Yemen shirts, but now that I know the first team wear fakes, perhaps the Umbro ones are official afterall.
Mauritius
Mauritius – Home – 2013
This Mauritius shirt was obtained from a kit man after the 3-0 friendly defeat to Qatar via another collector. I had never been entirely happy with my Mauritius shirt due to the lack of photos of the Mauritius national team, so was delighted when I had to opportunity to add this rare African shirt to my collection. It wasn’t cheap, so thanks to all those collector who bid on my ebay items in order to raise the necessary funds!
