But I&#8217;m not going to, instead I&#8217;m going to tell you about their attempt at qualifying for the 2014 World CUp in Brazil. IN a change of format to the previous qualification campaigns, Samoa hosted a pre-qualification tournament between themselves, American Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands. IN the opening match American Samoa ended a run of 30 consecutive defeats to beat Tonga 2-1, their first ever win. They followed this up with a 1-1 draw with the Cook Islands, and were finally eliminated after conceding an 89th minute goal to hosts Samoa.
