Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe – Away – 2000

Collecting national team shirts from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.

A lovely design from Chinese brand Li-Ning, Tajikistan first started wearing this style against Australia in 2015. The away version was only ever used twice, in the home and away legs of the Asian Cup qualifiers against the Philippines on 13/06/17 and 27/03/18. They later replaced it with a green version.

A ver similar design to Switzerland’s 1993 shirt, but with a different pattern in the fabric. This shirt features the FA logo rather than the stylised Lotto logo as the repeating pattern. First used in a friendly against USA on 22/01/94, it was later used at USA ’94. Given the source of this shirt it is more likely that it was worn against Turkey in a Euro ’96 qualifier.

I’m not sure that this shirt ever actually got used. But it is the away version of the shirt that they wore for a few games in 1994.

First worn in a home defeat to Zimbabwe on 31/01/06 it was not popular with fans, as such it was dropped in favour of a red away shirt for the World Cup, and only saw action once more, a friendly defeat to Iran in 2007.

First used in a friendly with Chile on 25/04/06, it’s only competetive action was in Olympic Qualifiers. The away shirt was blue, meaning that a one-off black third shirt was needed in the friendly with Blackburn Rovers.

This design was used at the CECAFA U20 Championships in 2019.

Need your help identifying some of these opponents for matches against Gibraltar, I think most of them are club sides.
4Is it just me who keeps seeing Rochdale when seeing clips of Atalanta?
